Let’s get this right:
Real *companies* ship.
And no doubt, Apple is a real company and Steve Jobs was great at getting his products from conception to production. Steve Jobs always wanted to be thought of as an artist but what he was instead was a truly great (and truly ruthless) businessman and a master marketer.
Oh yeah:
Real artists…make art (duh!).
IMO, the process of taking getting one’s art to the point where it’s experienced by the public is separate matter that would be a great topic for discussion.
