So, after blogging for around 22  month this humble Blog received its millionth view today.  122 posts were written and two and a half thousand comments had been provided by you, as well as some hundreds of thousand (!) of plug-in downloads.  Busiest day was 8th of May this year, the day after the NastyVCS release, but I’m pretty much sure that this record gets busted quite soon.

“It was a pleasure to me, thanks for all your care and for joining this party. Have fun and spread the word!

  1. You’d be pretty rich Bootsie if you receive a dollar or so for every download. Btw, I use your plugins all the time, where’s that “donate” button?

  2. +1 for the ‘Donate’ button, then we could all buy you a beer 😀

  3. As i still said,

offering your plugins as 5$ CHARITYWARE (like liquidsonics) would be the best option. So Bootsy can keep his uncommercial attitude, we gave some money for his plugins, and people in need get help. And everybody has a good christmas then.

Or you realy want him to drink thausands of beers. But don`t count on serious plugins then anymore. 😉

    • That’s a fantastic idea Bob!

Or we could all just donate 5, 10 or 20 dollars, pounds, euros etc to our favourite charities next payday.

    • I prefer beer for a lifetime, free. Anyone?

      • Heheh! I’ve just donated £35 to the charity of my choice (hey it’s payday!) and still feel like I’ve stolen/cracked your stuff.
Maybe set up a ‘beer account’ and have all Donate payments sent to that 🙂

Yeah this 8th May was ill !!

  5. I try in english, thanks a lot for your nice blog and of course one of the best sites for plugins. take care.

  6. Congratulations on 1,000,000 hits! Thank you for your amazing plug-ins.

  7. Congratulations!! 1,000,000 visits is a great value, thanks for your work on excelent sounding Plugins!

Can I send you a pint by email?

  9. In all fairness, the bulk of the hits was probably just me checking in to see if you released whatever you’d recently been working on.

It’s good to see someone who does something as a hobby and makes a real contribution without expecting monetary compensation. I suppose knowing that people use your stuff is reward enough.
Would be nice if some sequencer software makers would take notice and implement your technologies into their products and throw you a few bones for your hard work- maybe something like a Nasty console similar to what Record and Ardour has done.

    • Maybe we should take a closer look at his standard EULA, see if there’s anything in there about handing over our first-born children for turning all our digital straw into analogue-ish gold. Yeah, I’m onto you, Rumpel-Boots-kin! (That’d be a fun name for a future VoS plugin, wouldn’t it? I wonder what it’d do…)
