VBL – final teaser & release info – Variety Of Sound
trafo? -> transformer?
Exactly
yuck!
Can this one hold a candle to the new VBC from slate? Only time will tell…
Wow! Maximum brilliance! 🙂
Finally! I visit here daily waiting for this! XD
Hell yeah! Great to have dual mono. I’m doing a lot of LCR mixing, so it’s a must on many group buses. Wish ThrillseekerLA had dual mono…
LA ALREADY IS dual mono, BUT for the first few dbs of gain reduction, then gradually merges to stereo paired reduction
Looks sexy as usuall 🙂
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting to see Biasing controls, something a lot of emulations are missing. Can’t wait to hear it!
In plain english and generally speaking..what could you expect from this plugin that Thrillseeker doesn not? What does it do better? Just limiting?
Nice GUI!
Waiting… 🙂
Awesome GUI. Who cares if it even works or not?
Anyway, looking forward to some new thrills…
Probably a bit cheaper than Mr. Slates offerings, as wonderful as I am sure they are. With added bonus of not locking us out from any other software we paid for, should things go wrong.
I pay for all my software, and I make sure that that never happens by never buying stuff with certain copy protections. It’s my money and I can do what I want with it. I don’t feel like I am missing out. And best of all the devs that don’t use intrusive systems get my cash (Klanghelm being but one example). Would I pay for Bootsy’s plugins? Sure! Would I donate? Sure!
Am I happy that a Master in their field gives this away for free? You bet! For more than one reason.

I hear ya. Damn I wish more developers would rely on basic copy protection systems and reasonable prices for their stuff. Some of the “ceartain” copy protection mechanism are a pita especially when out of nowhere some kind of unexpected update happens. Never ever had problems with plain serials or reg files. And if so it was mostly a matter of hours/days and it has been fixed (but critical bugfixing was always some kind of special service that independent devs are taking more care of than bigger companies). And most of those devs are still around though they don´t force me to buy additional hardware just to use one simple plugin.
Anyways, can´t wait to hear this new thingy. I am not quite sure what to expext. But hence it´s from Bootsy.
Regards
Sebastian
I wonder if this can be used a buss or master compressor? It looks like it’s going to be unbelievable.
Looks like it’s going to be fun to use. I’m sure it will be.
Looks nice Bootsy. Can’t wait to check it out.. Thanks.
Hubba hubba. Drooling, and counting the days . . . ( ‘_’ )
Counting hours
Ive had bootsy plug-ins for years and heard nuthin but great things about em.I never got super deep in them but whenever i used,I was happy with the results. Now that we haver a limiter coming,i plan im doing a full mix with nuthing but bootsy plugs.Im looking forward to it.I do Electronic/Hip-Hop production with my MPC Renaissance and Reaper 4 as my DAW.
One of the greatest hardware-emus out there. Not for anything you would slap a compressor on, but incredible where such gear is needed. Due to its vintage sound I used it as my master bus compressor for a big band mix. Check it out:
