bpb-180According to Bedroom Producers Blog, “The title of the best freeware plugin released in 2013 as chosen by BPB goes to the amazing ThrillseekerVBL by Variety Of Sound. It is the latest release in the brilliant Thrillseeker series of freeware effects for Windows.”

  1. wise choice !
congrats and thanks for all those wonderful tools !

    • What an awesome collection of high quality VSTs. Every one is amazing. They sure bring my home studio productions to life. I just downloaded Susiwong’s presets for the wonderful epicVerb and cant wait to try them. But I can’t figure out how to load them into epicVerb (running in Reaper). Can anyone help please? Also, is there a web location for more detailed user info on Variety of Sound VSTs? There is so much going on in some of these plugins and it would be great to know more about what is happening in the processing with different settings.

      • Hello again. Just answered my own question. Reaper does not accept .vstpreset files. But they can be easily converted. I just downloaded FXTractor 0.0.3. (free and works fine). It’s on a Google site (for downloading utilities I think).
The blurb says ” FXTractor is a small tool to convert new Vst3 VSTPRESET files to old style Vst2 FXP and FXB files (if possible). Please remember: This tool is totally unsupported from Steinberg. It is a user contribution to the Cubase community written to help other users”.
When converted, Reaper is able to put full folders of Susiwong’s patches into epicVerb, and they sound great!!! Thanks Susi.
