ThrillseekerVBL mkII released

ThrillseekerVBL mkII – bringing mojo back

Even though extensively revised, ThrillseekerVBL remains true to its credo and combines musical gain-riding and thrilling distortion. The mkII version improves both the user experience and its technical implementation, giving more sonic control and a versatile sound. Being able to reproduce quite a range of tonalities now, ThrillseekerVBL has become a true tonebox that can deliver Variable-Mu style tube compression whether soft and mellow or punchy and raw.

The mkII update is available for Windows VST in 32 and 64bit as freeware. Download your copy here.

Just can’t express how much i appreciate your work and this plugin in particular. By the way – check the release date on download page 😉

  4. it’s very smooth. I’ve tried it on several tracks and no matter how hard you push it, it still sounds smooth. Thank you

  5. Charles Cox says:

Oh thank you thank you thank you… I have used version I on so many projects to date, along with Boot EQ, and look forward to using them on 64bit projects now. The old versions have been so much part of my toolkit that I kept a 32 bit environment around so I could use them still 🙂 Time to finally migrate completely!

  6. This thing is amazing! I cannot believe how gently it handles the material. Glues things up the way I always intented to do, but was struggling to accomplish with many other tools. Surely a keeper! Great work!!

  7. Awesome! Thank you for all your hard work!

  8. I am currently mastering an album and have been using the older mkI on it via jBridge in Cubase 12 Pro! Imagine my absolute surprise and joy seeing this! Thank you so very much. Absolute class plugin.

  9. Can we somehow crowdfund you a mac? And if you’d join Patreon, I bet your income would explode from all the new users..

    • Alex Boyer says:

Please stop with the mac BS, just be grateful with the 64 bit remake

      • BS is calling everything bs thats not your style or choice of os or whatever. I loved this plugin and was a win user, but for all the different compatability reasons i need to use a mac system now. Ofcourse im grateful and if needed, ill pick up the old system again, but im failing to see how recommending a good businessmodel and reaching out for a wider audience (a quite big precentage a would guess) is bad..?

  10. thank you very much I liked it a lot

  11. My favorite plug of all time, just at the right time in my life! I just tested the plug and it’s a masterpiece, just like the first one, you just saved my vocals. Thanks Herbert

  12. Hey Herb it appears the on/off is not a true bypass is this intentional?

  13. Constantly Hungry says:

I’m so excited to see this. The new version is even better than the already great previous version. Awesome job. I can’t help but wondering, “how long do I have until next time it goes past its due date?” – why not make these new versions Vst3? In a single years time, these will be unusable with Steinberg products.
