NastyVCS – virtual console strip
I’m really proud to announce the NastyVCS virtual console strip which finally brings the beloved “nasty” signal coloration series onto the next level.
Build entirely new around an opto-electric style compression unit, NastyVCS offers everything you need to shape your channels dynamics and tone. It offers a dedicated input stage featuring crunchy pre-amp saturation and a brickwall safety limiter in the output stage while everything is set up to work in zero latency and so to have it available for hassle free tracking and mixing. Two dedicated filters can be used in either the audio path or in the compressors sidechain which can be external as well. [Read more…]
the “nasty signal coloring fx series” becomes legacy
The “nasty signal coloring fx series” becomes legacy and won’t be developed any further from now on. Though, the whole package will still remain available to download for quite a while. The upcoming channel strip release is going to replace this small package and will bring it onto the next level.
FerricTDS 1.5 – public beta (closed)
The public beta for the upcoming FerricTDS 1.5 has been closed today – thanks for all the contributions! A final version will be released here somewhere in March.
FerricTDS 1.5 beta, when?
I’m currently preparing the bits for the upcoming FerricTDS beta test. Since this beta is going to be public nobody needs to apply for joining the party, just come back here during the next days or so, pick up a copy and have a ride with it (and give feedback of course). The version number jumps from 1.0.2 straight to 1.5 which indicates some vast improvements under the hood. I’m already really excited about this one.

some delay on further updates
There will be some delay on the forthcoming plug-in updates due to some unexpected technical problems. This affects the announced maintenance release for BootEQ mkII and the epicVerb 1.5 update. An updated version of FerricTDS containing the awaited input level switch will be postponed as well. I don’t now yet how long this delay will be.
and the winner is: FerricTDS!
Yeah, right – we did it: “With over twice as many points as the second placed entry, FerricTDS by bootsie, a Windows VST effect Tape Dynamics Simulator plug-in is the clear favourite in this years Challenge. Bootsie wins 30% of the prize fund as the top Windows entry!”
Many, many thanks for your support during the challenge!
