This major update adds VST3 support, extensively modernises DSP processing and introduces the latest in audio signal colouration.
BootEQ – the classic EQ / Preamp combination
BootEQ is a classic EQ and preamplifier combination. With four independent parametric EQ bands, it offers well selected and musical sounding EQ curves with both asymmetric and proportional curve behaviour. The unit offers elegant audio colouration capabilities with a dedicated preamp stage capable of adding harmonic overtones as well as pleasant tube and transformer based saturation effects.
In its 4th incarnation, the performance of all EQs and filters has been improved and further options has been added. BootEQ mkIV features authentic audio transformer circuitry in the preamplifier stage and the signal saturation effects can now be adjusted not only continuously, but also fully volume-compensated. The update adds VST3 support and also includes bug fixes and a revised manual is now available online.

one of my all time favorite EQ plugins. Can’t wait to use!
One of the most used pre+eq plugin in my setup. Thanks a lot!
Big thanks!
Thank you, I love this Eq! ❤️ 👍
Mira chamaco, todo esta bien pero PEROOOOOO…NEVER, NUNCA, NUNCA TOQUES EPICVERB!, NEVER TOUCH THIS reverb, It´s sacred devide, capicci, ok? Sale pues!
…and, many memebers do not use Discord! we prefer this way.
always grateful by these rare gems
I started with BootEQ and eventually found my way to SlickEQ. With version BootEQ 4 what are the similarities if any, between the two?
Different concepts and BootEQ has a strong focus on the preamp sound.
Thank you so much for releasing this to VST3; it has long been my favorite EQ because of its gorgeous saturation.
Thank you very much for this Bootsy. You are legend.
Warm regards.
thanks! judging by the description of what’s been done, i can’t wait to try it. ever since i’ve learned what discrete preamp sims can do for your sound, i use one on every track, before the tape. i used to rely on the line pres including in the console strip, after the tape, but the addition of a separate mic pre before the tape works magic. nothing more than the classic analog recording sound chain, and, “surprisingly”, still the best sounding combination. so far, i’ve been a massive fan of acustica stuff, once i’ve tried it, it’s pretty much all i use. i can’t wait to see how the new boot compares.

Bootsie, you’re a hero, truly a great dev, and this was actually the first VoS plug-in I downloaded more than 15 years ago, so I’m glad you’re still making it even better =)
But please don’t ever say “volume-compensated” again! You’re too cool and too much of a genius to mistake level for volume in a sentence!
Thank you
