public betas for NastyDLA and VCS, BootEQ, Density and Ferric

Some public beta bug fix releases are currently available for:

  • BootEQ mkII 2.1.1 beta
  • Density mkII 2.0.3 beta
  • FerricTDS 1.5.1 beta
  • NastyDLA 1.0.1 beta
  • NastyVCS 1.0.1 beta

This are Win32 releases only (SSE2 or higher) and are bug fix releases which addresses the following issues:

  • Fix: crashing and hanging when opening multiple instances of the same plugin in Cubase and some other hosts
  • Fix: problem with plugin GUI not initializing correctly in Samplitude and some other hosts

The NastyDLA 1.0.1 beta also fixes the “chorus issue”:

  • Fix: clearly audible lofi artifacts in the chorus section (crackle or noise) in some setups

If you are not affected by this issues there is no need to download and install them. If you download and want to install them be aware that this are beta versions and not final releases and they might not properly work due to other bugs or side-effects. If so, please report here for further bug tracking and fixing!

The download is available in the Downloads page.

  2. hi! thanks for the new updates bootsy. mac users can use bootsy’s plugins too, check out my blog. cheers!

  3. Hello, Herbert. Experienced some gui issues with yours and a lot of other plugins (not only Synthedit-related ones) and was able to remedy the problem simply by updating my graphics card’s drivers. My advice/point to beta testers is: if anyone is experiencing gui problems with VOS plugins (which are the very finest available anywhere, imo), update your drivers first (or even roll back to a version which was more reliable) before reporting on gui problems with the plugins.

  4. Yay, works in Renoise. Thanks you.

  5. Very Exciting!! I had posted something ages ago about density not working in Renoise!
Can’t wait to try it out!:)

  6. I’ve never had any problems with your plug-ins but I’d like a couple of things fixed in DensitymkII.

The vendor name in Cubase appears as VarietyofSound instead of Variety of Sound which creates this small problem when you sort plug-ins by vendor:

And two GUI issues that drive me crazy since I’ve noticed them:

Other than that, I want to say I love your stuff and thank you for the time you put in these.

  7. Any planned updates for epicVerb? True stereo processing would be nice… 🙂

  8. download only with pay, shit!

  9. Hi Bootsy

The GUI-problem within Samplitude 11.2 (Win7, latest drivers) seems to be solved with BootEQ and NastyVCS. Density, Ferric, NastyDLA and EpicVerb V 1.5 and the latest TesslaPro 1.0.1 still show the GUI-problem in Samplitude. Regards, Martin

  13. Joe Piccione says:

I have test and mixed down with all of these plugins, and they are incredible! They “stand up to anything that i have in my UAD library. I wish more were available. Try them for yourself, you’ll be happy that you did.

  14. Can you please just confirm for me that BootEQ remains limited to 44.1/48, while all other plugins support 88.2/96?

  15. hey bootsy.. loading the betas with the vst analyzer, switching to the “parameter list” mode and switching back to the gui mode, the gui does not work at all..cant click anywhere…
